Word Search
Every puzzle hides ten words in a 12 × 12 grid. The words are connected by a theme, so you might visit the seaside, wander a garden or settle into a coffee break. Words can share letters, and some run backwards. You can select a word from either end.
- Read the ten words below the grid.
- Drag across a word, or tap its first and last letters.
- Look horizontally, vertically and diagonally — forwards or backwards.
- Find all ten words to complete your puzzle.
Try the longest words first. They give you a more distinctive pattern to look for. If a word has an unusual letter or a repeated pair, scan for that pattern instead of checking every first letter. A hint outlines the first letter of one remaining word.
Play Word SearchMini Sudoku
Mini Sudoku uses a 6 × 6 grid divided into six boxes, each two rows high and three columns wide. It follows the same kind of logic as a larger Sudoku, but uses only the numbers 1 to 6. Every generated puzzle is checked to have exactly one solution.
- Use the numbers 1 to 6.
- Each row and each column must contain every number once.
- Each bold 2 × 3 box must also contain every number once.
- Tap a square, then a number. Use Notes for possibilities.
Find a row, column or box with just one missing number. Then look at where each number could fit in a box: nearby rows and columns may rule out all but one square. Notes let you keep possible numbers in a square. Check reviews your entries, and Hint fills one correct number.
Play Mini SudokuMerge Tiles
Merge Tiles begins with two numbered tiles on a 4 × 4 board. Sliding left, right, up or down moves the whole board in that direction. When equal tiles meet, they combine into a tile with twice the value. A tile can merge once per move, and each merge adds its value to your score.
- Swipe or use your arrow keys to slide every tile.
- Two matching tiles combine when they meet.
- Each valid move adds a new 2 or 4 to the board.
- Aim for 2,048. The game ends when there are no moves left.
Try keeping your highest tile in one corner. Build a tidy sequence of smaller values beside it, and keep some empty squares available. Think about how the whole board will move, rather than just the pair you want to merge. Undo lets you reconsider your most recent move.
Play Merge TilesKeyboard and touch controls
In Word Search, drag a straight line across a word or tap its first and last letters. With a keyboard, focus a letter and press Enter or Space to select an endpoint. Arrow keys move focus around the board; Escape cancels the selection.
In Mini Sudoku, select a square and press a number from 1 to 6. Arrow keys move between squares; Backspace or Delete clears an editable square. On a phone, use the number buttons below the grid. Notes records possibilities instead of a final answer.
In Merge Tiles, swipe the board, press an arrow key or use the four direction buttons. Each valid move adds one new tile. A blocked direction does not change the board.
Daily puzzles and practice
Daily puzzles are shared challenges that change at midnight UTC. Reload the page to see the new day’s puzzle. Practice mode generates more puzzles whenever you like. Mini Sudoku offers Gentle, Classic and Tricky practice settings with different numbers of starting clues.
Progress and sharing
Your daily trio combines today’s Word Search, today’s Mini Sudoku and making a 128 tile in Merge Tiles. My progress shows your puzzle completions, streak, best Merge score and collectible badges. Any completed word or Sudoku puzzle, or a new Merge tile of 128 or higher, counts towards your daily streak. Your progress stays on this browser and device. Share lets you copy or send a result without revealing the puzzle’s answers.
